The Windowed Hut

After living and working in San Francisco for twenty years, two brothers from the Yucatan peninsula look to hybridizing the San Francisco bay window and traditional Mayan hut in building a school and residential compound for their family. To supplement this project is a construction manual designed to instruct the thousands of migrants from Oxkutzcab who live in San Francisco on how to build and construct the “windowed hut” as a piece of remittance architecture.
